What is MOPS?
Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is an organization designed to nurture EVERY mother with children from infancy through kindergarten. We are a fun, inspiring and encouraging group of moms who share one desire: to be great moms!
MOPS is more than just a place to meet once a month. We are a support system for you! We are all here to support one another as we grow as Christians, wives and mothers. How do we support each other? We support each other with friendship, prayer and Christian fellowship. We also provide a meal ministry to moms that have new kids or a personal struggle.
What is MOMS NEXT?
A MOMSnext group is an open, accepting place for all mothers of school-age kids to come, just as they are, to experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help and spiritual hope. MOMSnext will encourage, equip and develop moms in the next phase of mothering.
When do we meet?
Hebron Baptist MOPS/MOMS Next meets on the second Friday each month (September-May) from 9:30-11:30, with check-in beginning at 9:15. If Boone County Public Schools are closed on our regular meeting day, we meet the following Friday. See our Calendar Page for details.
We also meet for mom's night outs and playdates! Please check our calendar for more specific information.
Is child care provided?
Yes - quality childcare is provided during our monthly meetings for your children through our MOPPETS program - a preschool like program with a spiritual emphasis. Our volunteer MOPPETS workers are background checked and trained by our MOPPETS Coordinator, many are also CPR/First Aid Certified.
If childcare is provided at any other event we will let you know.
What does it cost?
Yes, there are minimal fees for being a MOPS/MOMS NEXT member. However, if you cannot pay them we do have scholarships and regular fundraising to cover the fees. If you have financial struggles and cannot pay the fees please let your discussion group leader OR one of our co-coordinators know.
Your membership cost will include a welcome package from MOPS International that in the past has included: A subscription to MomSense Magazine, a reusable logo bag, and a bumper sticker.
Hebron Baptist also charges a $5 per meeting fee for each mom to help cover the cost of MOPPET snacks, crafts, and childcare.See more on our Registration Page. You can prepay this with your MOPS international fee or you can drop a few bucks in the basket at the meeting. Again, if you have financial issues please let us know, we can work it out.
NO MOM WILL BE TURNED AWAY FOR AN INABILITY TO PAY AND YOUR FIRST MEETING IS ALWAYS ON US!!!
Since fees may change from year to year, we prorate for mom's starting late AND have reduced fees for those that register early it is best to get that specific information at the meeting.
